London calling for Novak, Roger, Andy and co.

Why the ATP Finals at the O2 should be on your calendar to attend!
There’s a very interesting subplot to this year’s ATP Tour Finals at the O2 this November.

The chatter recently has been about whether Andy Murray will be participating. It’s  been complicated by Andy’s efforts to single-handedly dragging Great Britain back to the top of World tennis by reaching the Davis Cup Final against Belgium. Trouble is the Davis Final takes place shortly after the ATP Finals finish! Played on separate surfaces – hard court for the O2, clay for the Davies Cup Tie. Tough conundrum.

The ATP Finals are for the top 8 elite men’s tennis player of the 2015 season. Given Andy’s excellent form, he is guaranteed a place to be there. In fact, if you’re in the top 8, it’s a contractual obligation. Who else will be there? Novak Djokovic, Roger Federer, Stan Wawrinka, Tomas Berdych, Kei Nishikori, Rafael Nadal and David Ferrer.

With or without Andy there, being at this highly exclusive end of season tournament is a must see. This is more than a series of exhibition matches. There is a serious amount of money on offer to the winner, ensuring these guys are right on the limit.

All you need now is a chilled glass of something sparkly and some strawberries and cream.
