Is clay pigeon shooting just a countryside pursuit? No, it certainly isn’t! Take advantage of this shooting day with a difference as we take you sailing on a barge on the River Thames as far as the Thames Barrier to shoot clays.
Clay pigeon shooting is a great sport that requires concentration and nerve. Hand-eye coordination is also a handy attribute as well as patience. Hey, but how do you know if you have these skills if you haven’t tried it?
At Oliver Myles, we’re proud of our “Shooting on the Thames” concept. It’s been so successful, our next date in May 2019 sold out in just a few days, so we’ve added another date – 17th May 2019. We really love it when an event that is slightly different captures our guest’s imagination!

So, what’s day shooting on the Thames like. Isn’t it dangerous?
No, this is a highly controlled environment – safety comes first for participants on the boat and those on the river banks. What’s more, you don’t need to be any kind of professional to enjoy clay pigeon shooting – you needn’t have even picked up a gun before.
This is an ideal experience whether you are on your own and want to see London whilst shooting some clays, wish to entertain your high performing team or thank your suppliers with a day out to be remembered for a long time!
Outline of the day
- Safety briefing first
- Bacon rolls/bacon sandwiches are served as you sail towards the Thames Barrier
- When you reach your destination, you will enjoy the thrill of shooting clays from the back of the vessel. Our experienced team of instructors are used to coaching everyone from the novice through to the more proficient shot. There will be prizes to compete for, if you want to win!
- Once the shooting finishes and we start our journey back, a two-course hot fork buffet lunch will be served, and the bar will open. which means that the prize winners can be toasted. The journey back to Tower Pier will give you plenty of opportunity to sit back, relax and enjoy the sights of London.
- As you get near your home destination, they will raise Tower Bridge especially for you and your guests, a spectacle not to be missed by you or the onlookers from the banks.
